This training uses the tools of yoga — meditation, breath awareness, physical alignment and engagement, and self-inquiry — to teach participants the principals of emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. Learn How Yoga Creates Wellness.
This training is for you if you are already part of or motivated to be active in leadership, wellness, and/or outreach. Our facilitators are world-class teachers who will offer their expertise to each weekend module. The service model of this training is based on a pay-it-forward ethos, whereas participants will complete their training by sharing their skills with others. Learn What is Leadership.
This training is designed to empower staff from local organizations, nursing homes, churches, shelters, and those who serve at-risk populations to expand their skills to bring mindfulness and creative movement techniques to the populations they serve. Learn How to bring Wellness into the World.
The program is designed to be inclusive, offering wellness strategies to meet the realities of each community.To that end, Create Karmas scholarship support for several training programs. Additionally, community organizations interested in partnering with a trained wellness leader, can sponsor a trainee in part or in full.
Our training occurs over the course of 8 weekends at multiple locations.
The cost of the basic 200-hour training is $3300 with a commitment to serve at least 12 hours giving back to a community by initiating healthy living programs or leading movement or meditation classes. Participants who complete the full training will also have the opportunity to become certified as a yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance for a separate fee. Learn What is Yoga.
Experienced yoga teachers who have completed a 200-hour training are invited to join a separate track for a 300-hour training program. The cost of the basic 300-hour training is $3600, with a commitment to serve as mentors during the 200-hour program, as well as giving at least 12 hours giving back to a community by initiating healthy living programs or leading movement or meditation classes. Participants who complete the full training will also have the opportunity to become certified as a 500-hour yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance for a separate fee.
