I teach a playful and progressive approach to a powerful practice that leaves students feeling rejuvenated and excited for more. My ultimate desire is to provide the space for my students to peel back the layers and tap into their power and strength. Having a background in gymnastics and a love for inverting, my classes are filled with opportunities to explore life upside down and all that it takes to get there safely!
I joined YogaOne in the summer of 2009 having never done yoga but was a college athlete and figured yoga would be easy. That was not the case, however I stayed with yoga and worked my way from a student to the Director of Teacher Inspiration and Progression for YogaOne Studios. In October of 2017 YogaOne was sold to YogaWorks, at that time I decided to use my years of experience with YogaOne to expand my reach. I now enjoys my days spent attending classes, mentoring teachers, leading yoga teacher trainings, and doing so much more.
I have had the opportunity to train with: Roger and Albina Rippy (200 hours- Hatha), Catherine Allen, Ann Hyde, and Heidi Somraz(CET & Advanced Teacher Training- Forrest yoga), and David Kyle (Progressive Ashtanga & Rocket Yoga)
Before pursuing yoga full time, I spent ten years in Education where I taught Algebra, served in school leadership, completed my Master’s in Educational Administration, completed my Ed D in Organizational Leadership, and completed the Rice University’s Entrepreneurial Educators Program.
